MEAT Dana Raushenberg(Extreme Athlete)As the first official "spokesrunner" for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, it's no surprise Dane Rauschenberg, the man who ran 52 Marathons in 52 Weekends, is a lover of wholesome beef jerky. Using beef jerky often in grueling endurance events like his 350 mile/7 day run on the coast of Oregon or running 202 miles in 50 hours straight while taking on the American Odyssey Relay as a solo runner, Dane was looking for the right jerky to use for the long-term. "I absolutely love the taste of Shurky Jurky and have already used it successfully on a number of long runs as a main source of protein and salt replenishment," Dane says. "As a person who is known to sweat more than most, I know I need to replace both of those as efficiently as possible, especially given how hard I push myself and for how long." Dane has explored various endurance sports to the deepest reaches of their mental, physical and emotional boundaries and is looking forward to doing so further with Shurky Jurky powering him along the way.
